چکیده

In semiconductor nano-optomechanical resonators, several forms of light-matter interaction can enrich the canonical radiation pressure coupling light and mechanical motion give rise to new dynamical regimes. Here, we observe an electro-optomechanical modulation instability in a gallium arsenide disk resonator. The regime is evidenced by concomitant formation regular dense combs radio-frequency optical spectrums resonator associated with permanent pulsatory dynamics intensity. mutual between light, oscillations, carriers, heat, notably through photothermal interactions, stabilizes extended comb ultrahigh frequency range that be controlled optically.

Controllable chaos in hybrid electro-optomechanical systems.

We investigate the nonlinear dynamics of a hybrid electro-optomechanical system (EOMS) that allows us to realize the controllable opto-mechanical nonlinearity by driving the microwave LC resonator with a tunable electric field. A controllable optical chaos is realized even without changing the optical pumping. The threshold and lifetime of the chaos could be optimized by adjusting the strength,...

Observation of optical spring effect in a microtoroidal optomechanical resonator.

We present experimental evidence of the optical spring effect in a silica microtoroid resonator. The variation of the measured mechanical resonant frequency as a function of optical power, optical coupling, and optical detuning is in very good agreement with a model for radiation-pressure-induced rigidity in a silica microtoroid.

Theory of electro-optic modulation via a quantum dot coupled to a nano-resonator.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of an electro-optic modulator based on a single quantum dot strongly coupled to a nano-resonator, where electrical control of the quantum dot frequency is achieved via quantum confined Stark effect. Using realistic system parameters, we show that modulation speeds of a few tens of GHz are achievable with this system, while the energy per switching opera...

The optomechanical instability in the quantum regime

We consider a generic optomechanical system, consisting of a driven optical cavity and a movable mirror attached to a cantilever. Systems of this kind (and analogues) have been realized in many recent experiments. It is well known that those systems can exhibit an instability towards a regime where the cantilever settles into self-sustained oscillations. In this paper, we briefly review the cla...
